Speaker Bio
Amber Moran is currently the Assistant Director of Examinations for CDCA-WREB-CITA, also serving as liaison to support a variety of committees including Assignments, OSCE, Ad Hoc Chief and Grading Team Lead, and ADEX Dental Hygiene. Initially examining with WREB, Amber quickly learned the value of assessments in clinical competency. Serving as clinical examiner provided an opportunity to apply innate attention to detail and be immersed in the world of examiner calibration. Clinical experience was balanced with service on the Appeals Committee and as Chair of the Process of Care Committee, and Dental Hygiene Committee.
A clinician at heart, Amber practiced for 25 years in Nevada, Montana, and Oregon after graduating Sigma Phi Alpha from Colorado Northwestern Community College in 1996. A lifelong learner, Amber pursued certification in Perioscopy, Diode Lasers, Myofunctional Therapy and Nutritional Therapy. Her commitment to excellence and empathic approach to patient care earned long-lasting relationships and excellent outcomes for those in her care. Once an active member of the Montana Dental Hygienists’ Association, Amber served on the Board of Trustees as Chair of Geriatric Outreach and Co-chair of the Annual Session Committee, and as an Alternate Delegate to the American Dental Hygienists Association.
